🚨 Exciting Sports Announcement! 🚨Today, I’m incredibly proud to share the launch of Reflect Foward initiative in partnership with the Australian Sports Commission — our new course “Dealing with the Moment: Anti-Racism in Community Sport” is officially live! 🎉This free online course is designed to help community coaches, umpires, participants, and volunteers address incidents of racism in real time, right when they occur. Whether it means taking a pause in the game or offering support to those affected, “ this course is a practical way to support grassroots sports to improve.” said Australian Sports Commission CEO Kieren Perkins OAM 👇 Check out Reflect Foward Ambassador Kyah Simon (Matildas and Sydney FC star)’s Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) media interview today, where she highlights why it’s so important to handle these situations immediately. "[So that], you're just playing the sport because you love sport and it's not because of where you come from or who you are.” 🙌🏽Course available now on the Australian Sports Learning Centre✨ A big thank you to:- The entire Australian Sports Commission team for their dedication and partnership in making it all happen- All participants, partners and organisations who contributed with invaluable insights- To Kyah Simon Adam Cassidy Dr Aish Ravi and Sukart Alex for being a key voice behind this course- Finally, to All community coaches, volunteers, staff and athletes across Australia who continue to make our sports more inclusive and fair.Massive Thank you from all of us ❤️ 🙏 Link to Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) article published 11/10/2024: https://lnkd.in/gwcsBEzE#AntiRacismInSport #SportsForGood #CommunitySport

✈️ Off to New Zealand this week! 🇳🇿 ✈️I’m thrilled to be returning to Christchurch after five years and visiting Auckland for the first time. My schedule is packed with significant meetings and speaking engagements across various sectors, from schools to sports to government. The last time I was in Christchurch was in 2019, following the March mosque attack, when we organized a community event following the attack. I am eager to reconnect with friends and long-term partners.Stay tuned for more updates!🖼️ Image description: Quick photo before catching an early morning flight to Christchurch, New Zealand 🇳🇿*
